Chengdu

Am planning to be in Chengdu for a month in July, I know its hot hot hot... any advice on must go places, secret little places or drivers you know etc... would be appreciated.

We went to Chengdu 2 years ago and arranged a tour guide through CTS. she collected us at the hotel and showed us around. We also went to the panda breeding sanctuary where for a fee you get to cuddle a panda and have you photo taken which was a real hi-light. the panda pretty much doesn't care as long as he is eating bamboo o they are on hand to quickly replace it if he drops it.

Thanks... anyone out there who has a good travel agent that can help us plan hotel, flights and drivers or train tickets?

Am expanding the number of cities, will do some sightseeing but mainly there to also hit some libraries in search of books published by my granddad when he was in the interior during the sino-japanese war.
