As was mention previously in this thread, yes, it's been suggested that it has happened occasionally, but the official position of MOM is unless there is a legal basis for the union, then LTVP is the only option short of the Entrepass route. It wasn't all that many years ago, that is was extremely difficult to even get the LTVP. Niche qualifications badly needed apparently is able to move mountains where the gahmen are concerned. But as we have seen since may, they way things are worded allows rapid changes and the whim of the gahmen without changing the laws per se, but the intrepertation.

In other words, don't make plans based on something than cannot be vouched for except for some suspect anecdotal evidence. I cannot remember ever seen any first hand accounts here by the numerous same-sex couples who have been on this board over the past 6 or 7 years I've been here.
