Despite the crisis - German Lawyer seeking a job

Post by Jacob2106 » Tue, 05 May 2009 11:18 pm

Hi everyone as my wife will relocate to lovely Singapore I would like to know whether there is any need in Singapore for an internationally trained German Rechtsanwalt (lawyer) with 6 y working experience in corporate / commercial / employment law. For an estimation or any contacts to headhunters / job agencies pp. I would be grateful. Thanks in advance. Jacob.

Despite the current "crisis", I think there are still a few vacancies for legal and compliance professions. In fact, I think thats the only area that is actively recruiting. I saw in a salary survey from Robert Walters, that the salary range for legal and compliance have went up between 2008 & 2009.

You should ask your wife to consider seeking advice/help from recruitment specialist for legal and compliance field like Recruit Legal and Totally Legal. Your wife can also check out Singapore Law Society, and get herself registered there. I think she might be able to find a few legal positions in the classified portion.
