If you're not married to your Singaporean gf, then you will only get social visit pass.

Even if you're married to your SG gf, you will not be able to get SPR automatically just by marrying her.

The best choice, i think, is still to marry your SG gf then get a dependent pass. but, i agree, the job prospect may not be bright and expect to lower your salary expectation....
Can't get dependant pass if married to a Singaporean as I mentioned in a previous posting above

Before you come to Singapore, try applying for an EPEC (Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate). If you get the EPEC, then you get to stay for a year in Singapore to look for a job. Here's a link: https://epec.mom.gov.sg/epec/index.do

Marriage is a serious thing! Don't just get married for the sake of staying in a country. Of course, I sound so conservative (but I'm not that conservative!) but this is just my opinion. Plus I'm a Catholic and it's damn difficult for Catholics to get an annulment from the Vatican. As they say, marry in haste, repent in leisure... :???:

$1800, not going to be easy on you, if you are staying on your own. make sure ya staying near to your work place, it might save you from transportation.
