removing silicone implant from nose?

Post by mylovemyway » Tue, 21 Apr 2009 7:56 am

anyone have experience with that? i got a nose job with a silicone implant 6 months ago and i removed the implant about 3 months ago. my nose looks like crap now because of the scar tissue. it just looks like a blob. anyone have experience with that, and know if anything can be done to get rid of the scar tissue?

the stretched skin aft removal of implant, certainly it wont look as tight as the skin before yr op; pre-op nose. u will need to let it heal, before u go for implant again?

i think it's not just the stretching but rather the scarring as a result of healing (keloids, etc).

only by seeing a doctor can he/she know what are the steps required to reshape/rebuild the nose.

poor thing,i have the same experience butcher by unprofessional doctor...i have even change my implant a few times as he did not do it right,in the end i just give up and remove it...
the solution is find a good doctor and redo your nose, the higher bridge and a pointy tip will stretch your skin, give u a good support and u wil look fine again..but be careful which surgeon u go for.
if u don consider another nose job, your nose will look flat and bigger than before..because u have previously expand the skin

I guessed the doctor that 'butchered' some of the noses here must be from Gleneagles, whose clinic is named after himself. I had mine messed up by him twice almost 10 years ago as well.

Hi everyone, I'm new here.

Nespress88, could you provide more info on who the unprofessional Dr in Geneagles is? If it's not polite could you PM me? Thanks! :)

Why do you want to take out the implant? My friend took out the implant and nose went back to as before, so not to worry.

Thanks for replying terrie your really kind. Cross fingers hope I'll have no problem too..Did your friend go to woffles or some other doctor to remove the implant?

The current implant is really too high creating a very steep groove from the side. Whenever I wrinkle my nose, blow it or even sniff in cold air I'll feel the hard implant moving. I cant even go for a facial now because my nose cant be squeezed!! I actually went to woffles wu and got a huge shock when I caught a glimpse of the implant used. Can't believe I let a surgeon implant that gross rubbery thing into me. Feel so disgusted at my moment of folly. And yet so many people on forums claim nose jobs have low downtown and they don't feel anything different after. maybe they work for the surgeons?!

Well I learnt my lesson for sure. Natural is still best!

You are most welcome; yea, natural is still the best because you don't have to take special care for the rest of your life .

My friend had hers done in Taiwan; and the area between the eye and bridge was sunken in overnight so she had it taken out later.

By the way, since how long do you have the implant? Have to wait a while to see before deciding anything.

I did my nose job about 3 months ago in march.. And there's already a scar on the inside from the original stitches..I'm afraid that another op will worsen the inside scar :???: Not to mention the loose skin around the nose when the implant is taken out?

Hi.
I had a silicon implant in my nose for 2 weeks before I had it removed.
The dr I went to only put in the implant without shaping my tip and thus, magnifying my already big bulbous tip.
So I went to another doc to remove it.

It has been almost 3months since my nose implant removal and my nose tip look contracted, upturned and extremely UGLY. It just look like what mylovemyway said, a blob. My tip looks like a ball now from the frontal view and my side view shows my tip is upturned. :(
I know best what my old nose looks like, my tip isn't upturned at all in the past and many said after removing a nose implant, the nose should go back to normal but I guess, not for my case.

Now I am looking for ways to fix my big ugly contracted nose tip.

Oh, and the dr who helped remove my implant is dr wong from gleneagles.
Life is a misery.
