notebook purchase at simlim sq ??

Post by Guest » Wed, 06 Oct 2004 11:24 pm

I am transiting thru Singapore on Saturday and planned to buy a new mid-range notebook (b/w SGD 1500-SGD 2000) . I looked at hardwarezone price guides and found some seemingly great deals at Renova Tech, @notebook.com and Fuwell all at sim lim square. How reliable are these stores ?

2nd question : In my price range, I am looking for an acer/hp/ibm with the foll essentials..2.6ghz intel celeron ( or amd athlon m 2400) , integrated wireless, dvd-cdrw combo drive, win xp loaded .

3rd questions : What is the best place to get legal win 2000 server / office 2003 server software and does anyone know what the costs are like ? have scoured the net in vain !!

Any and all advise is welcome. Thanks ! Sw

Haven't bought any notebooks from there, but the @notebook guys were very helpful and knowledgeable when I had to get the memory of an antique IBM Thinkpad upgraded at very short notice. So a thumbs up from me for them, can't comment about the rest.
