Waxing

Post by mayali » Mon, 13 Apr 2009 9:37 pm

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could give me information about women tht come home for waxing. Are they safe to call and does anyone have a contact number of someone they tried? Also what do the 'packages' include?
Thanks :)

Mayali, I'm sorry but I have some trouble understand what you're trying to say. "women tht come home for waxing"? Do you mean women who come to your house for waxing? If yes, I personally haven't come across any, as most home-based waxing therapists find it much more convenient for clients to come to their home.

Some of my suggestions -->
Home-based & reputable: www.thegolddust.com
Shop-based & fantastic: Wax Affair@Holland Village (just beside Subway. I go there myself and Diana is the fastest, cleanest wax therapist I ever had)
Shop-based & popular: www.strip.com.sg
Cheap & at-your-own-risk: Beauty salons in Little India

Hi Miss Swan,

Thanks for sharing these sites with me.

Yes, I mean women who come to the house to do hair waxing. i had read and heard somewhr tht there were women who are willing to come to your house to do waxing and they charge much less then if i went to a parlour. Have you heard of any such thing?

I am relativly new in Singapore and found that the waxing charges here are quite a lot, especially for someone like me who has to get it done every 2 weeks!! It would be great if you could guide me.

Thanks so much!

Hi Mayali, Google gave me the following search results (I typed in "waxing home services Singapore"

http://sg.88db.com/sg/Services/Post_Det ... tID=136664

http://singapore.gumtree.sg/c-Business- ... Z112797763

But as a word of caution I have no idea how good their services are - in my past experiences, a long wax can be very agonizing. A good therapist is fast and clean. If you want cheaper-than-salon rates, The Gold Dust is a good bet :)

P.S. the rates here are pretty alright...in Australia Brazilian waxing goes between $55-70 :o

Hi Miss Swan,

Thanks again for all yr help. Im hoping one of these will solve my issues hee hee.

Oh, its not a brazilian wax job i was looking for, im not that brave lol and i have wierdly sensitive skin! I had it done once and the pain turned me into..well :???: Its the rest of me which needs it done so often. And back home its really cheap to call a 'waxing lady' to the house. Maybe thats why the prices here felt a lot more to me! plus its convinient too!

I think i'll give gold dust a try tho!

Do let me know if you hear of anyone else thats good and cheap near bukit timah.

Thanks again.
