Shipping from the UK

Hi,

Although we shall have the shipping agents come in Mid November to quote and pack up, could anybody give me an Idea how long it had taken there belongings to arrive in Singapore from the UK.... by sea that its!

my stuff from france took a month...so i guess it should be around the same...but sometimes might be delayed due to customs and all that...pay special attention if u have desktops or tv.....MUST include in insurance...my desktop was dead after the journey....

Our stuff was packed about the same time of year (2 years ago....if that makes sense!!) and it didn't arrive until the following February!!! The problem was that we had a part container instead of a whole container. They had to leave the container sitting at the docks somewhere waiting for the rest of it to be filled up by someone elses stuff. My advice, go for a whole container.

Shipping time from the UK is something like 22 days if my memory serves me correctly, so if you have a whole container to yourselves, there shouldn't be too much delay in it arriving. As for customs, there were no problems - we shipped CDs, DVDs etc and the boxes were not even opened.

We moved to Singapore just 3 weeks ago and our shipment arrives this week. My advice is make the most of your air freight allowance if you have one

It took 5 weeks for our stuff from Midlands. Make sure your stuff is in air-conditioned storage if you have to store it. Also make sure that appliances/electronics are insured to be in working order. Some of our furniture discoloured because of the heat.
