Where to buy a Safe in Singapore?

Post by spidernyc » Sun, 12 Apr 2009 2:35 pm

Hi,

I would like to buy a moderate-quality safe in Singapore -- hotel room sized. Is there an area or specific stores that sell safes? Do they offer free delivery to your home?

Thanks!

I saw some in Carrefour Plaza Singapura of all places recently. Not sure of quality but might do if nothing better turns up!

The stationery store on 2nd floor of Funan IT mall has a good selection.

I checked them out in Funan, in the stationary shop and decided to by from Kovan shopping mall, ground floor, because the quality appeared better in Kovan, the price the same! I will also suggest buying the one at a 1k plus, because I also regret not getting the bigger one. You only pay a deposit and the rest on delivery.

I've seen them for sale in our local Giant (Marine Parade) and also in Carrefour. Not sure if Giant deliver but I know Carrefour does.

We bought one from Carrefour and we've had it for over a year. No complaints so far!

I've been using an inexpensive Diplomat for over 20 years now. No batteries needed, 4 number dial combo plus key. Fire retardant (forget the time/temperature duration now). Weighs a bit (around 50kg) but it's a perfect size for the back corner of the closet. Or built into a side table.
