no pain lah, it's over too fast to register, but infection is the real problem, my daughter wanted it done, at 6 and she insisted, but was not easy to escape the infections, which cause pain, in the end she just left them out and it healed up, then wanted it done a gain, but we refused, because the infections are a pain in the backside no matter how hygienic you try to be.
Although all kids have their own opinion on pain, my daughter never batted an eye lid, and she said it doesn't hurt at all.
