Hi gal,
Yap the numbness will linger on till 1 mth+! Just do some massages everyday and it will subside faster. I started driving on my 4th day after my vaser. Now its been 3mths, my arms are 90% completely healed, can still feel a bit of 'blueblack' sensation. ^^

I've done my arms already. Everything kind of went smoothly except for small numbness in my fingers.
It is 2 weeks already. My arms are so numb and hard, did u go thru tat as well? How do u cope with it? I still can drive, but not tat agile as b4.
Are ur arms completely healed already? HOw long did it take?

how much does IV cost? Getting a GP to do invasive surgery instead of a specialist sounds risky. What the price difference? 50%?

martzchrt wrote:hi all,

i went for vaser on tummy & lovehandles 1.5 wks ago, thot i can be of some help.

the one i went to is at central square area, not sure if he is a gp or not. but got cert in vaser & stuff...

he charged 6500, which is for 2 areas, with compression garment, 3 RF, medications & bandages.

he used LA with sedation too, which was fine. basically, after injection, u fall asleep in less than 10sec. when u r up, u dun even feel a thing, just a little drowsy. so its a must to have someone bring u home. i think i was even a little high after that, cos i was laughing & kept asking my hubby to look at my 3 big bottles of fat

when home, the areas hurt quite a bit. not because of the wound, but really like severe exercise cramps. the areas are also a little numb due to the liquid pumped in. there are also bruises, which will look worse the next day. immediately, i saw a reduction (cos i was quite big after my preg). but very uneven due to my stretchmarks & healing liquids etc still inside i think. there was leakages at my lower wounds only (combi of blood & liquid), near to the pelvic bone. my hubby helped to massage to push the liquid out. not painful at all. after about 10mins, there were no more leakages. a tip from my dr: if the bandages dun help with the leaks, put sanitary pads instead. fm my exp, best is the maternity type, cos not sticky tape & its cotton. very easy to bandage over.

the next day, there is basically no more blood or leakage. but more cramp-like pain & bruises.

now after 1.5wks, the area is definitely smaller. but not like super slim lor. its best u take pics of the areas before treatment, so that after comparing, u can see that the areas are really smaller after treatment. like tat, u will not keep thinking that the dr did not do enuf. cos we always will want those super slim bodies, so we will tend to think that the dr did not take out enuf.

i am wearing my compression garment everyday, 24/7. 1 fm dr, 2 corsets bought myself. u can get those cheap ones, like less than $50. now, i will take out about 1-2hrs so that its not so hot.
hihi, may i know how many drs did you consult before selecting him to perfom the vaser? i am also thinking of doing my arms with this doc at clarke quay.. his website states $999 per area... wonder how true it is..

999 per area seems to cheap to be true...
You know that's it's still surgery, so better pay more, and have a good one with a clean and skilled doctor instead of chasing the cheaper one.

I had tummy + chest in october 2009, I paid about 5k, but it came with 3*1h skin treatment to tone and shrink the skin, and the doctor even perform a light touch up on the tummy last week end. He though it could be improved, and did for free :)

This is the best money I've ever spend in my entire life... that's what i keep saying to myself when i look at me in the mirror every morning.

These $999 per area prices are cheap unethical gimmicks to lure you to the clinic.

You will find out that they have divided the tummy into 4-5 areas, arms into 3-4 areas, thighs into 5-7 areas and so on, artificially. Hidden procedural/anesthetic fees may be added to your final bill too. So you will end up paying many more thousands just to have your arms treated.(not $999 as you wish)

This is the similar gimmick normally associated with local spas and salons. Beware.

Vaser Lipo

Post by Tessadi » Fri, 23 Apr 2010 10:56 am

Hello ladies,

Can anyone of you advise me on which doctor I can go to for Vaser Lipo?

I intend to have my thighs, hips, butt and possibly tummy done.

What do you think the cost will come up too?

I am going for my 1st consultation with a doctor as my gf had recommended. She did her tummy area for $5000+.

I think it very expensive and I hve read your posts which seemed to get the same results but at a much affordable price.

Please advice!

Thank you!

price usually depends on how many area need to be treated.
If her tummy was not just a "classic fat belly" but more of a huge one, maybe the doctor priced it as 2 area.
Just tummy was 3k for me.

Maybe this doctor is super famous, and super good, and will give you a fantastic result without any bruises and light swollen, and that's why he's pretty expensive. Or he's just overpricing...

I did my tummy not too long back at S$3k+ with a local GP and am very satisfied with the work and the doc. Would say the doc and his team of nurses are simply wonderful.

Before decided to do the vaser with this GP, I check out 4 other GP clinics and 2 plastic surgeons, and found myself most comfortable with this doc, and price offered is great too. Plastic surgeons charge $6k and beyond.

The doc Tessadi mention is a plastic surgeon?

Nooo!!!! The Doc my gf went is only cerified in Vaser! They used to be at far east, then moved to Central.

I went to Woffles Wu before, he wanna charge me 30k for overall lower body liposuction. Not Vaser. And was very pushy. So in the end, I decided not to go ahead with it.

But after Kiera's advice etc, I'm going ahead with the clinic that she went too.

Because when I called up the clinic at Central, everybody seemed so busy to even bother to explain anything nicely to me. Even when I drop them an email, all they did was tell me to make an appointment with the doctor instead.

And when I had to change my appt after fixing it with them, told me they will call me back to confirm but never ever did!

I'm pissed with such service.

Whereas the clinic that Kiera went, I could hear from the background noise that it's hustling and bustling with many people, but their staffs still took time to slowly explain to me and even tried to fit my appointments which suits me. Their service is great.

Right now, I'm just waiting for them to revert with the best price they can give me before I set the date for my medical tests and procedure date.

*cross-fingers*

Tessadi, if i am not wrong, liposuction is different from vaser and require one to be hospitalised. liposuction is done under GA, while vaser under LA. for liposuction, loose skin may be cut off. maybe that's why its much more expensive.

Can update and share the cost after they get back to you? Am considering of doing my tummy :)

Hi Love bear,

I thought you mentioned that you just did your tummy?

And you wanna do again?

Mine's pretty reasonable. About 6k-ish.

Coz am doing a few areas.

If the tests are all good, then I'm scheduled to do it next tuesday.

Tessadi, yeah, I'm considering to do a revision for the tummy and vaser my flabby arms.

Because the lovehandles (the fats near the waist that goes a little towards the back) are still a little unsightly (other areas of the tummy were great). But the doc who did it for me says its good already. Ask that I don't spend unnecessarily.. because that small amount of fats that I intend to revise may be like 100ml of fats only.. So, no choice, got to look for another doc.

Is the doc you intend to go to, a plastic or also only certified in vaser?

The $6k quoted is nett or are there other costs involved? Will you mind sharing the areas you intend to do? Will the different areas be done in one sitting? Did the doc estimate how much fats you can remove?

You mentioned you were pissed with the service provided by the clinic at Central. Were they rude or intimidating?

I was thinking of calling them up, for another opinion. But stopped when I read abt your not so great experience with them..
