My wife and I will be moving house in the next few months. Moving from Newton to Robertson Quay.
As we work quite long hours (and are quite lazy) I require a moving firm who come to your condo, take apart things, pack everything into boxes, take it to the new place, unpack it and re-assemble them.
I am sure many people have had this done - does anyone have recommendations?
Thanks

Moving House
I have used Collins Movers in the past. It really depends on your budget of course, but they charge about $1000 per truck load for a local move . Thats packing and unpacking at both ends
Where they really try to stick it to you is in insurance, so you have decide your risk appetite there. For 2 moves they have never broken anything and the move is completed in 2 days.
So for 2 trucks and a little insurance for the really key things you can't shift your self, its about 2500
There appear to be lots of "2 men and a truck" deals around, but you pay for what you get - I have heard some sad stories about unreimbursed damage and so on.

We used Collins for our last local move as well. I agree with the previous poster about the insurance - that is where it gets expensive. I have to say I was less than impressed with their time management skills (they booked another job right in the middle of our move) - but they got the job done and came in much less expensive than the other "full service" Movers (Sante Fe, Crown, Allied...etc).
I used a local house Moving Company that I found on the newspaper.
The person in charge is the boss of the company I think.
He is quite boorish and you cannot expect him to talk to you professionally like a highly educated person but he seems to take care of your things properly.
He will come to your place and see how much things there is and give you a quote which I think is very reasonable.
Furthermore, its quite cheap compared to other house Movers that I called.
Not sure if they help you pack, you have to call and ask.
The number is 96688174, look for Mr Ng.
