Moving to Singapore, please help

Post by jamesmole » Sun, 05 Apr 2009 5:14 pm

Hello,
I am moving to Singapore, with my girlfriend, on the 17th april, which is a permanent move.

I need to find a place to live - I am looking to spend 2500 SG $ per month, I am not necassarily looking for a furnished or Serviced Apartment / flat / condo, but would like to live in the Orchard Road area.

I have emailed some websites that I found though Google but I the prices are coming in at around 4000 SG $ per month.

If anyone could offer any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

James

First of all, you can't just move to Singapore with your girlfriend unless she is on her own employment pass. A search of the board will provide options.

Housing prices have been dropping a lot in the last 6 months... 16 percent in the last quarter for near city, 8 percent farther out, 12 percent drop last quarter. May still be tough to get Orchard Rd area at the price you want to pay.
