How do you configure a mac for authentication

Post by rednah » Wed, 21 Jan 2004 4:43 am

Anyone out there have any ideas on how to configure a mac for authentication to use a server that is windows based?\

I am told by the IT people that it is an inherent problem with the Mackintosh system not being able to allow authentication programs

Any ideas anyone?

I think the magic word you are looking for is "NTLM", which is how Windows NT (and 2000 etc) do authentication. I don't know anything about Macs, but there are NTLM clients for Linux and other flavors of Unix, so google around...
