Blues Harmonica, meet friends

Postby dutch84 » Thu, 26 Mar 2009 11:32 pm

Hi everyone!

I'm a 24 year old guy from Amsterdam (Holland) and recently moved to singapore with my girlfriend. I play diatonic harmonica (lee oskar) and would to meet people that share the same interest, so we can learn from each other.

I am also interested in Dutch/Madarin exchange, or just meeting up for drinks, food or other fun activities!

Drop me line if ur interested!

Gjalt

Hello Patrick from Reeds Creation,

Do you give lessons for the blues harp? I play a little, would love to learn more. Also, how do i get to your store? I'd like to check it out.

Harmonica lessons

Borders in Wheelock Place was selling a teach yourself harmonica kit - DVD+booklet for SGD15.90 - it's actually better than some of the full-priced instructional stuff i've seen. Check it out.

Hi there, glad to know there are blues harmonica lover around. I think i've came across the harmonica kit you've mentioned. My experience is go for Hohner Special 20, it'll speed up your learning progress. You need a good harmonica (e.g. Special 20 which is handmade) to get the precise response while executing the playing techniques, this cannot be fully achieved by using lower end harmonica, which eventually slow down your progress.
