Hello,
My husband and I needed a break from work as well and we took a quick ferry over to Bintan and spent an extended weekend at Banyan Tree. It was absolutely incredible. My husband just went back last weekend to play golf at the nearby Ria Bintan and spent 1 night at Banyan again, requesting our favorite waiter at the delicious Saphrons Restaurant. It isn't cheap, but man is it worth it - best spa we have ever been to and first class service!!!
Good luck,
Erin

Hi,
Yup. Agreed with bitfitz, bintan is indeed the best place for spa... But again, compare to Bintan with Batam, it's slight costly though.
Anyway, I'm going with some friends to Batam for a 1D spa trip this coming Sunday 29.03.09 Will be an Free and Easy tour. Do let me know if you interested in joining =)
