PEP application

Post by claire_b » Tue, 24 Mar 2009 3:37 am

Hi,
I am overseas (USA) looking to relocate in Singapore.
I would like to have a visa before arriving in order to go there first and then facilitate my job search, this is how I came across the PEP, personalized employement pass.

I believe I meet the requirements for it:
"overseas foreign professional, fixed monthly salary at least 7000$"

-> but as I am going through the application form (through the manual application) I have some questions:

- residential adress in singapore: i don't have one as i am not there yet...
what should I do?
-local contact person: what is it supposed to be, a friend leaving there?
can it be anyone as long as they are PR and >21 years old?

In advance, Thank you for your help!

You need to use the services of your local contact person. You use their address as well as you have to make a manual submission through the local SingPost office.

Actually, if I remember the form it says that you don't have to give that information in the application, but will need to provide it when you actually pick up the pass.
Read the instructions again.

I may have read his post wrong but I believe his question was based on the instructions for making the manual submission as he does need a local sponsor and address when submitting the form as that is were the IPA needs to be sent as MOM will not send it overseas. If that was an option then they would allow online applications for those still overseas.
