Buffets

Post by Adamkl » Mon, 23 Mar 2009 2:47 pm

Hi,

Can you guys let me know if Singapore hotels do all you can eat and drink buffets similar to those in Dubai?

I am moving from Dubai to Singapore and know the buffet will be something sorely missed!!

Cheers

Yes - just about all the major hotels do the all you can eat/drink. Most also come with a soft-drink only, alcohol, and some even with a kid's pricing.

Yeah, it was the only way to combat the "Singapore Kiasu Buffet Syndrome"! It is pretty effective but only if they ensure the patrons don't bring doggy bags and stuff 'em full under the table! :o

I thought the buffet fine was an Sg urban myth, along with being fined for not flushing the toilet. I cant imagine there's a department in the police call Anti-Flush Squad.

Just get the local tailors to knock up a pair of plastic lined false pocket trousers,
you can waddle out with food for a week, without getting fined.

I tried the Ritz Carlton, Shangrila, and four seasons hotels and I found the first two just too much, just overwhelming, the four seasons was a much nicer low key do.

Yeh Four Seasons (if you have kids - we don't). I'm also with QRM on the other suggestions....HTH
