Kung Fu for Kids

Post by tomcat1 » Wed, 18 Mar 2009 7:10 pm

My son turns 4 next month and I would like to enroll him in Kung Fu. Does anyone know where there is a school that teaches children his age in Singapore? We live near Changi Airport.

Any information is appreciated.

Ooo my son did Karate before moving here and now that we are settled he would like to continue tho it could be any martial arts, we are close to the city.

I did see a few community centers and they have Wushu, I may look into that further, anyone with any other clues? recommendations?

My prelim research has the following options (I am not fussy if its karate or taekwando or wushu or judo):-

1.) Wushu for kids starts 28/3 sat, 1 to 2 pm (if their renovation finishes on time), they also have a sunday class 12 to 1pm. 4 years onwards, S$150 for 10 lessons and is on waterloo street.

2.) There are a number of community centers that also either have wushu or taekwando for 5 year olds, you'll have to check for your area.

3.) Little Gym, which has a long waiting list...

4.) I found a place in UE square if I can get 5 kids, they will start a class for me, its Taekwando and the woman promises me its very fun, 1 hour I think S$270 for 12 lessons, I am thinking of either the monday 2pm to 3pm slot or 3pm to 4pm slot. anyone else interested?

I didn't get a call back fm several other places.
