Hello I am moving to Singapore from Hk and taking my helper with me.
I would like to have some insights from somebody who already done this as I couldn't find anything on the internet and I don't have much time left
Also could somebody advice me a good agency for processing the visa?
thanks

Hi,
Some agencies have business and offices in both HK and Singapore. They can give you more insights. Sorry can't give you the exact names coz I didn't keep their buz cards. But you can easily find on web. I remember one is in Nort Point. Good Luck.

It's all pretty straightforward. We processed our own paperwork - but in hindsight I should have just gone through an agency. On the Ministry of Manpower website go to the Foreign Domestic Workers link. You would be applying for a maid new to Singapore (or has she worked in Singapore before - which would be easy since she would already have an existing record here.) You will need to take a course online (go to the Singapore Polytechnic site and there is a course listed for first time employers for a FDW in Singapore - I think you will need your FIN number - or husbands' FIN to proceed). If you want to use an agency try Prestige, 121 Personnel or Apac. These have all been used by friends. I think the fee when we were moving was around $750 for processing all the paperwork for bringing in a new maid. (It was about $400 for a transfer maid).

Sounds possible, why not contact a maid agency in Hong Kong and see if they can help with the transfer?

Why don't you go hire a transfer agency. While this is straight forward if you want the i's dotted you're better off paying for professional help...
