I was searching on the internet when i discovered this report on drinking health vinegars, I feel that considering that the Professor who did the analysis is quite famous in his field of research in the food & beverage industry, that i should share it with you all.
It is really an education to compare it with what you are drinking, some of the preservatives and artificial colourings authorised for use, by the food standards agencies, world wide are in the deep end.
Some famous brands have been heavily fined, and their beverages pulled off the shelves, because the sodium benzoate has reacted with vitamin C, to produce highly toxic benzene a couple of years ago. Sodium Benzoate is in almost everything we eat and drink that is processed.
Through my data collection I discover also health vinegars, that are really health hazards, because of the preservatives in them, along with aspartame, which is a little out of date, in this day and age, although China is using it.
So my advice is to really check your labels, some ingredients say just vinegar, and in my book, it could mean just that..acetic acid and water, with no health benefits at all so be very careful in your choice of brands.
These companies that are out to fleece the consumer, will do it, riding on the back of well branded health vinegars, it is vital to have evidence of what manufacturers put into their beverages.
This piece of research is done by a very well respected biochemist in the food & beverage industry

The research also shows that Apple Cider Vinegar is not the best, although it was obvious to those that understand the fermentation of such apple cider, and a vinegar that is researched and developed by agricultural chemists.
The new biotechnology developments are breaking new ground in health vinegars, and all the different fruits used, have their own individual potencies of bioactivity when consumed.
To be quite honest a health vinegar that is once diluted with 5 times water is a beverage, with around 1% of natural acetic acid, which would be much more healthier, than the sodium benzoate, which is in almost all beverages and food stuff.
Sodium Benzoate turns into highly toxic benzene, when it comes into contact with vitamin C, and in 2005 some very famous brands had to pull their beverages out of the market on a random test, they were fined, for having benzene in their drinks.
Sodium Benzoate has the ability to switch of parts of the DNA and the controversy is still on going.
Also around 6 artificial colourings are band, but Companies are still using it around the world, Once again check labels, to avoid health problems later in life, if one has any doubts, leave the product alone.

Sodium Benzoate is a preservative that stops mold in beverages and food, although I ask myself why they do not use a natural organic fermented vinegars, that is also a preservative.
