Good cycling routes

Post by idhenners » Sat, 14 Mar 2009 4:39 am

Hi,

I finally brought my road bike out to Singapore.

Can anyone suggest any good cycling routes? Anyone here participating in any group cycling sessions?

Are there actually any hills in Singapore to cycle up? :)

Cheers,

Ian

Hi idhenners,
You may try cycle to Pengerang and Sungai Rengit. Acessable by bumboat from Changi Village.

I met a guy on the plane, who said ANZA has a cycling group they sound pretty serious getting up at 5 am to do 40km. There again you actually want to cycle up a hill in the tropics, then they might be the right bunch for you.

for cycling.. very much depends on where u are located cuz u'd probably start off there.

there are a few popular routes that i will briefly mention:

jalan bahar
west coast road/highway
bukit timah road
changi road
east coast service road
jurong west road
kranji road
old choa chu kang road
mt faber

as mentioned, dpeends on the distance u do and where u flag off.. ALOT of groups to fit everyone's level of skill.
