Relocating from UK - Cats not permitted in HDB flats

Post by Joeyfishcat » Wed, 11 Mar 2009 10:05 pm

I've read on another forum that cats are not permitted in HDB flats. Is this true?
I'm in the process of relocating from the UK to Singapore and I would really like to bring my beloved moggy with me. But if the latter is true, I'm not sure I can afford the rental on a private apartment...
For starters I've no idea how to go about getting my cat from the UK to Singapore...
Can anyone recommend a good pet mover who can help me co-ordinate the process? ...That's if I can find anywhere for her and I to live in Singapore... :???:
Help!?!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated at this extremely stressful time!!!

You are correct, cats are not allowed in HDB flats. (That's not to say there aren't any though). I had one for 6 years till somebody either stole her or ava got her! Couldn't very well go to ava as ask seeing I wasn't allowed to keep her in the flat in the first place. Bummer that!

Ok, message noted. Thanks!
Can you or anyone recommend a pet mover who can handle all the logistics from the UK to Singapore?
Also, I've emailed a couple of companies but neither have given me an idea of how much it would cost to move her. Any rought estimates?

There are several links in my signature links page. At one time or another the links have been recommended by our readers in the past. I vouch for none of them except the government or quasi-government one.

Oh, none of the links are paid/exchange links either.
