Where do mainland chinese congregate?

Post by carolynW » Mon, 09 Mar 2009 10:53 am

I had a question put to me that I didn't know the answer, a friend who wants to move here may want to live among the mainland chinese community and wanted to know if they particularly congregated in any neighbourhood?

Anyone know?

This is quite true, especially boy's  make sure they have satellite chips implanted, just in case they go missing    although it's still only a minority group doing the kidnappings, for beer money! There is a demand, so better to be on the safe side and watch over your own children.

They are everywhere! Many of them stay in the north where it is cheaper. But I am seriously not sure if they behave in the same way here as in Kowloon... from what I gather, they seem to keep to themselves pretty much.

Are you referring here in Singapore?

Well besides Chinatown, Albert Street in Bugis is one of the places mainland chinese congregate.

There's a temple there, and nearby is the famous Foo Lou Shou Complex (not sure of the spelling)
