Holi Celebrations

Event : Holika

Venue : Sithi Vinayagar Temple ( Ceylon Road Temple)

Date : 10 March 2009 (Tuesday)

Time : 6.30pm onwards (Prasad will be served)

This event will be jointly organized by Singapore Gujarati Society and Marwari Mitra Mandal.

There will be no Dhuleti celebrations this year by the Gujarati Society.

Dhuletti has been organised by Marwari Mitra Mandal as per details below :

Sunday 15th March
10am to 2pm
Katong Park @ Meyer Road

Herbal Colours and Pichkaris available at venue. Strictly no outside colours and paints allowed.

Hi Parag,
Thanks for sharing the info. We will join you for the ceylon temple celebrations ......however some confusion on the katong park dhuleti , scheduled for the 15th. I was told that this year the organisers are going to malaysia for some sports event aand that there will be no dhuleti organised by them!
Please re-confirm amd advise...cause we would love to be at the katong park holi \:D/

Dear Ajit

It is the committee members of the Gujju Soc who are going to be in Malaysia for some games.

Therefore, the event on 10th at the temple is jointly organised by Gujjus and Marwaris and the one on 15th is under the Marwari banner.

This also refers to our telecon this afternoon.

It felt good to visit this temple. It felt much more like a mini India than Little India does.
