Hypnobirthing class - need one more couple to start

Post by elibri » Mon, 02 Mar 2009 5:59 pm

Hi, I'm due to give birth here in Singapore in May and want to do the hypnobirthing class at Birth & Beyond, which friends who have done it say is fantastic.

However in order for them to start another class, there needs to be at least two couples enrolled. They have one starting in April, which is too late for me.

If anyone is interested, please let me know so they will put on another class starting this month.

The cost is $500 for 5 x 2.5 hour classes. Its supposed to be a lot better than the normal birth preparation classes as it concentrates solely on the delivery and teaches you labour strategies that reduce the feeling of pain (without drugs) and shorten the labour. Apparently its very focused on the couple, so its good for dads to be too. More info is on their site http://www.birthandbeyond.com.sg/course ... =2&list=20

I'm really keen to do it, so if anyone else is thinking about it please let me know! If we have only 2 or 3 couples it will be better as well, as I think you get much more out of a small class.

Please PM me or reply to this post so we can get them to start another class in March!

Thanks :)

There are other places to take hypnobirthing classes other than Birth and Beyond if they don't have the availability. Parentlink also offers the course, for example.

I took the hypnobirthing course in another country and it was excellent preparation for birth.

I took the classes with Four Trimesters, you can see their site on http://www.fourtrimesters.com
Ginny is the contact person there, she is really great and calming.
Good Luck!
