different kinds of HDB?

Post by jb_slinky » Wed, 18 Feb 2009 9:41 am

hi,

i'm planning on buying an HDB from the open market since I'm a PR.
I was thinking of buying a 5-room flat, but I saw there's also an executive type, which are executive apartment (EA), executive mansionette (EM), and multi-generation. what's the difference among these executive types? i'm not sure if mansionette means 2-level. anyone care to share?

I was wondering if HDB continues to make Executive type of flat. Or are these no longer built.

also, what's the difference between HDB and HUDC? are there new HUDC still being built or are these old units?

thanks.

Executive Mansionette is 2 levels
HDB continues to make executive types
HUDCs are sort of like "HDB condos". They are no longer being built

i guess it's maisonettes not mansionettes and they're always 2 levels. The important thing is if you're single the rest doesn;t matter, you can only buy executive ones.
