I'm in much the same situation. My husband (American) and I moved here for his work and I don't work. I'd recommend joining ANZA (they take all nationalities) as its a good way to meet some people to hang around with during the day (primarily women!)

Hey Kristen

I live on the east coast also if you want to meet up for a coffee. I have a boyfriend who works incredibly long hours so I know how you feel, im not working at the moment either (I am trying!!) so the days can be quite long when you dont leave the condo!! PM me if i you want to meet up for a natter, I can introduce you to the circle of friends that I have, they're a great bunch of girls who like to go out once a week at least, drink lots and generally have a laugh, although we could definitely do with lots more clubbing!!

Hello to All:

Clearly there are a lot of people here looking for events to meet new people and make friends!

I put this in another post, but I am planning to go to either the art or national museum this weekend (March 22). If anyone is interested in coming along, and maybe having a meal or coffee before or afterward, please reply.

I'm new in town. Been here 1.5 weeks. Will be here several years. Looking to absorb culture and make friends. 28 year old male form US.

Hope to see you there (shy people too!)
Alek
