hello!
sorry if I am posting in the wrong section but I don't really know where this question would fit best... (and I think the most knowledgeable persons for this matter would be found here!)
I have a friend who was working Singapore and then posted to HK from may 08 until 1st february this year (9 months total) and now is moving back to Singapore. his company is arguing his bonus should be paid in HK therefore he would have to pay HK taxes, which will be to his disadvantage.
my view is that the bonus should at least be pro-rated (january to april 08 paid in Singapore) and not paid fully to the HK tax authorities. I'd like to help him but I don't really know where to look for info...
any chance you guys could point me in the right directions please?
Thanks!
