Wanna form a band?

Post by g13nn » Wed, 04 Feb 2009 4:40 am

Anyone wants to form a band? Just for fun... maybe get a few unpaid gigs for fun?

I'm a Bassist, I am open in playing most types of music from Love songs, Blues, Southern Rock, Alternative Rock, Heavy Metal, Reggae.... etc.

Please post the instrument you play too.

40yrs old, guitar player/singer, used to be half decent, have good gear.

Currently into Black Crowes/Bonamassa/Gary Moore but have been into just about every kind of music at one time or another.

Really interested in doing some Zeppelin etc to get my chops in. I can come with a drummer too if you want to jam and have some fun, PM me.

I used to play guitar but don't practice much for a while, so maybe play 2nd guitar. Music tastes listed sound not bad.

Sounds good....wanna add whole lotta love with female vox??

I'm open to anything, have a huge repetoire that I can pull out of my head. Spoke to the drummer and he is in for a bit of fun too.

Saw you play the PoW quite a bit? I've done it a few times too. We played there on Australia Day last week 26th Jan playing all Australian music.

Like you we are both in other bands (not necessarily the same bands) but just want to have some fun and keep on playing. We had been talking about doing something a bit more rocky for a while now....maybe this could be it????

If this kicks off... hope we can jam at PoW http://pow.com.sg/ ... another option is this Jam Bar that I tried The Actors http://www.actorsthejambar.com/ ... Went there last Wed... we just buy a beer and we can jam as a band or can play any instrument as individuals.

Hope to see you guys soon and as soon we get our list of songs for the first jam and schedules fixed... I'll book a studio. Let me know if you have a studio if your choice too.

Usually go to Odiocrib in Waterloo St...clean, biggish rooms and good gear....fourtones also can but not as good for parking.

No probs with the list...shall we settle on whats there and maybe aim to get together in a week or 2?
