am looking for the best value option to fly to KL. Heard that MAS has a SGD49 promo going now (with no fuel surcharge as well!).

If time/date and baggage are not a constraint, the low cost carriers offer more value. Tigerairways' one-way fares start from SGD29 nett, Jetstar Asia's SGD35 nett and AirAsia's SGD36 nett.

Even with the promo fares, the airport taxes are high.

Currently, the website offers S$63 each way... S$126... plus about S$300 in tax... and all the super savers are sold out. SQ gives you the same flight for S$382.

MAS and SQ have this route tied up in so much politics that cheap flights are impossible. You can get a better deal flying out of JB.

I am currently in KL and came here by AirAsia.

I paid S$ 205.- which includes a baggage allowance of 25 kg (94.- 2 way)
Xpress boarding and airport taxes.

So if you travel light, you can easily make it for less then S$ 100.- return.

The plane was nice and clean and departure/arrival was in time, although you arrive at LCCT here and not KLIA. (leaving from terminal 1 in SG)
A small hassle though.

Go to their website and check out the different fares on different times/days.

Hey Resm, I called MAS today and they said that I can actually get two way return for SGD98 - ALL INCLUSIVE! also i get 20kgs worth of luggage.. (can do more shopping hee!) But only until 31st Aug 2009 traveling period..

I just bought a ticket to KL - one way $98 inclusive everything. Two way should be double of that, i.e. $196. It's not bad.

Promotion Booking period - 2-15 Feb
Travel period - 18 Mar - 31 Aug
