where to buy 6SL7 Vacuum Tube?

Post by qinx_uk » Sat, 31 Jan 2009 10:25 pm

hi, does anyone know where I can buy a pair of 6SL7 Vacuum Tubes? Philips 6188 might be the best. Tubes in my amplifier were damaged during moving into singapore and I am dying to get the sound back.

many thanks and regards

There is a place on the third floor of Sim Lim TOWER (not square) that has several tube amps, including a very pretty, Class A, push-pull tube amplifier... an exceptionally fine specimen of the technology of another day.

Ostensibly, they are a speaker repair firm but I bet they could point you in the right direction for tubes.

Failing that try some of the high end audio shops at the Adelphi centre ( spelling) it's opposite Funan IT mall.

Good luck

The Makintosh dealer in Centrepoint might also be able to point you in the right direction seeing they still carry highend tubed amps.
