Dear guys,
If I got a flu and go to see the doctor, what will be the medical fee in Singapore in private clinic? Other than private clinic, what else? Any extra cost for the pharmacy? Does anyone in Singpore need the medical insurance?
Thanks.

just go see a doctor in a local/private clinic. not gonna cost you an arm and a leg. some clinic can dispense basic medication, if not you have to get it in a pharmacy.
alternative to a local/private clinic? bomoh? witch craft? google? watson?
weather you need medical insurance is up to you. if you know you gonna be healthy for the rest of your life, then maybe no need. that you got to decide for yourself.

Dear Duran,
Thanks for your info. Actually, what will be the medical fee including a 3 days pharmacy dispense?

The cheapest would be any local clinic, fees vary but at a guess between 20$ and 45$ including the medication for flue. If you go private it may well cost more than the local HDB clinics.
Example i pay 65$ to see a specialist at the general hospital, who is a senior but not the highest, so the fees in hospitals are more than the local clinic doctor, which is around 25$ minimum consultation, it's the medicine that costs.

Hi KSL,
What will be the consultation fee for a foreigner instead of local people?

Just remember to enforce your requirements wrt to limiting medication as some doctors prescribe and direct sell medication that is arguably too much or overkill. The direct sell is good but this is one of the bad side affects.
