Studying in Singapore

Post by smccahill1 » Tue, 27 Jan 2009 3:01 am

Hey everyone

Firstly, can i just say i think this website is really good, i have the opportunity to study in Singapore this coming year and have gleaned a lot of practical, useful information about the place from here, cheers.

I'm posting this just to get some more information on Singapore and whether it would be suitable for me.

A few of the points worrying me about my time away in Singapore is wHether i will be able to watch the celtic games somewhere? (may seem trivial to some but i dont think i could handle not seeing the european nights at parkhead).

also, i will be 20, and am a fan of going out clubbing and for a few drinks, what is that scene like over there?

what is the general cost of living like?

how hard is it to cope with the humidity/heat/rain?

how easy/hard would it be for me to get a part time job while i am over there? would the visa(if required-still to research that) allow me to do so?

are there any other things i should know/be aware of?

any help with any of these questions would be greatly appreciated.

thankyou.

simon x
