Question about Jobs on this website

Post by winger7 » Mon, 26 Jan 2009 5:07 pm

Sorry guys, im not sure if this is the right place to be asking this question but above on this website there's a "Jobs" link, are the jobs listed here suitable for expatriates to apply for? Is that why they appear on this website? Thanks in advance

As the Classified section of this site is free. Then the jobs may or may not be suitable for expats. We would hope that they are but if you have been in the Beauty Forum or the Airline Subforum as well as all over the board to some extent there are lots of locals here as well. So no, they may not be suitable for expats and again they might. :?

thanks for the response anyway...but i just read into another thread in this forum and it talked about how jobs that hire expats are dominated by agencies...so i suppose they process your permit to stay in the country and help find jobs as well? not much use looking thru websites like jobsdb.com from a foreign country im guessing..?

Your best method is by networking and reading the papers or recruitment websites outside of Singapore for positions available in Singapore. Pick up a copy of Nexus or some such. Normally there will be agencies in the UK or US or Aus who may be having positions via their MNC clients in their own countries looking for people willing to take up positions in Singapore or elsewhere. Google is your friend.
