Foreign companies and local bank accounts

Post by chuck1rar » Mon, 26 Jan 2009 2:09 pm

Firstly I know this is possible just want some advice from those who have had experience in doing this..

Have a foreign registered company that does not have an office or any business dealing in Singapore. We are based in Japan.

Need to open a corporate account here in Sng which will allow us to use merchant account facilities. (processing credit card transaction telephone or manually over the net).

This is supposed to be not so easy to do but not impossible. Anyone that can shed some light on the pro's and con's would be appreciated.

Thanks

So, just like the banks and MAS might ask, why does a foreign registered company, with no legal presence in Singapore, want to have a Singapore bank account with credit processing facilities? Can you say scam? The authorities might think that.

I'd suggest getting some assistance with it.

It's way too much trouble do it by yourself.

Lawyers and accountants can help.
