NTUC/Taka Voucher

Post by SFGate » Sun, 25 Jan 2009 7:36 pm

Hi There,

I almost purchased a 42 inch TV today for $1299 and the salesperson was also offering $600 in NTUC/Taka vouchers. Are these vouchers for real and useful for everyday items like groceries, clothes, etc?

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

It should tell you on the voucher or accompanying letter both how long they are valid for (usually anywhere from 3 month to 1 years usually) and what they 'can't' be used for. Generally, if not specified, they can be used for anything.

you can use the vouchers for anything except for taka, you cant use it in the supermarket. you will get a letter telling you how to claim the vouchers, so make sure you follow the instructions.

if you can choose, opt for the NTUC vouchers. you bound to use it for food. unless you got stuff you want to buy in taka.

I recently bought a Panasonic LCD TV from Best Denki and the $300 NTUC/Taka vouchers was offerred.

The vouchers are mentioned in the Receipt, and has to be presented together with the Warranty Card at the Panasonic Service Centre somewhere in Bukit Merah (Jalan Kilang something).

The Taka Vouchers are valid only at the departmental store, and not the whole shopping mall. The supermarket is operated by Cold Storage, so is not accepted.
