Claiming tax rebate from HMRC in UK!

Post by whiterr » Sun, 25 Jan 2009 1:21 pm

Hi - I arrived from the UK about 3 weeks ago and have just received a nice cheque from the revenue for a few hundred pounds as tax rebate for leaving the UK halfway through tax year.

I wouldn't have had a clue that this existed if it wasn't for a good bloke I was chatting to in a bar the other evening. The form is P85 and if anybody wishes to have further information please let me know!

Mrs S and I sent our P85 forms off just before we left UK, a nice tidy sum deposited into account a couple of months later!
