International Calling

Post by thorinna » Wed, 21 Jan 2009 2:48 pm

I have just moved to Singapore and am still adjusting to the international phone charges. Can someone recommend a good reliable calling card with decent rates to UK, US and Australia for use with a landline.

Thanks.

I haven't and may well do so but will like to also have a good calling card until I get settled in permanent housing.

You may use Phoenix 1516 calling card.

I use the card before while I live in Singapore, it is cheap and have good quality too.

Alternative you may sign up with Starhub or M1, they have IDD call but charge local rate.

if you use cellphone plan from singtel, you can check there is a free v019 service. you pay $5 per month additionally , and you have a list of country, which you can call them at local rate.

currently, I am using it to call china and US. it's even cheaper than normal phone card solution in the market. quality is very good.

Rebtel

I have been pointed out a number of options for this but the best seems to be Rebtel. They are an internet based telephone company and are great quality. You get charged for a local call when you call internationally, you just have to follow the process the detail on their website rebtel.com. You dont need a credit card and can start calling straight away. Free is always good in my book!!

Cheers
