i heard some pretty bad stories from customers who bought gadgets here. some guy, a customer, even got beaten up by sellers coz he was demanding his money back when he found out that he had to give more money if he wants the other feature or something..

You get what you pay for and at Sim Lim all the traders have gone over to ripping off the customer. Has anyone on here ever had a good deal from there and is happy with it as I have not heard of anyone say so?

FYI some have moved to the IT Show this weekend so beware! :twisted:

I haven't read the article, but the latest edition of Time Out in Singapore has the low-down on expensive alcohol prices in SG - and Govt taxes are not the main culprit :o

My husband loves Sim Lim--it helps if you know what you want and understand the costs involved. If you want to use a credit card, expect to have a 3% or more surplus added. It's great for those who "know" and pay cash. Not so good for unsuspecting tourists who find it cheaper than "home" and get ripped off when they get the final bill.
