Dragon Boating at Kallang

Post by Dilettante » Mon, 12 Jan 2009 1:27 pm

Hello,

Anyone who would like to try dragon boating is welcome to come out with the Canadian team. You don't need to be Canadian.

We meet at Kallang Riverside Park on Stadium Road. Practices are 3:45pm to 6:00pm on Saturday, and 9:45am to noon on Sunday. Even if you have no experience at all, you're welcome to come.

Bring sunscreen, a hat, and clothes that you don't mind getting wet. We practice rain or shine (you're going to get wet anyway!).

We provide drinks, snacks and beer after practice.

For more info, see http://www.canadiandragons-sg.org or just reply to me.

Cheers & See you on the water!

Ken

Hi,

I'm interested in dragon boating but I've never ever tried it before and sadly don't have the equipment for it. Do you provide or sell the stuff? How many are you all in the team?

Hi DaisyRae,

You don't need to buy anything. We just ask for a $10 contribution for the beer, drinks, snacks and to pay our coach.

We have about 70 active members, and around 40 show up at any given practice.

Completely new and totally inexperienced paddlers are always welcome. That's how I got started :D.

Check out our this page http://canadiandragons-sg.org/?q=node/2 on our site for more details.

See you there!
