Optometrist?

Post by JimH5 » Sun, 11 Jan 2009 8:02 pm

Hello everyone. . .

My wife and I are looking for recommendations on an optometrist or optical doctor. We'd especially like to find one with retinal scanning equipment. Neither of us need surgery (I hope), just a thorough eye exam using the latest technology.

We're pretty open to going anywhere in Singapore, and look forward to seeing any recommendations from fellow expats.

hello

If you're looking for a general eye examination, Singapore polytechnic's optometry centre offers you a very thorough check up (: it is done by final year graduating students, and not to worry, qualified clinicians will do a recheck to ensure students did it correctly, each examination cost only $5. It is cheap because its a place for students to experience and learn not because it aint good.

I'm a graduating student there too (:

If you're looking for an optical shop, i would recommend Pearl's Optical @ chinatown, every customer will have to go through and anterior eye health check and also the retina check before purchasing any eyewear.(examination is free with purchase of eyewear) this shop is very very well equipped and most customers find for DR.KOH ( PHD in optometrist)

Hope it helps (:
