Finding accom in Singapore (and a visa question ..)

Hey there,

I am a 21yr old student in New Zealand, looking to come to Singapore on the 6 month Working Holiday Programme.

However I am struggling to find any possible suitable accommodation. I have looked into many hostels and most of them seem to be dormitory-styled or for currently studying students.

I am more looking for a single room to live in, such as in a studio room complex or a hostel complex. Don't mind about a shared kitchen or amenities, but more looking for the single studio room type thing rather than renting a room in a flat with people I don't know, or living with more than one person in a room! ($220SP per week is about what I could afford for accommodation)

If anyone has any suggestions or can point me anywhere, it would be much appreciated!

single room or studio apartment wont be easy to find. your best bet is to rent a room in a shared apartment.

Another question here if anyone is able to answer..

Is it possible to apply for a different sort of Pass while residing in Singapore if you are already on a Working Pass.

e.g. , If I am on the working holiday programme pass, can I apply for a student Visa if accepted into a University while on the working pass, and then change over onto the student pass before the work pass expires?
