Hi lifetraveler,

If my list indeed includes half of your regular nutrition resource, then you're a true Chinese  Wanna try frog(toad) porridge at a popular hawker centre at Chinatown?

I’ve sent you my contact details via PM. Give me a shout if you’re up for something.

You bet.

However, I think we should stop making this food conversation too graphic. It could be offensive to some of our potential dinner buddies. :-)

Got your PM. Just replied.

Hi there, I am also new to town and looking for some dinner buddies....so I hope I could join you

I am off on biz travel though until the end of the month, but I will watch this thread to see how you guys are going on getting a group together.....

I love good food (from fine dining to street food), good company and some good wine... does that help me qualify?

Time: 7:30pm.

Show up, if you are hungry and don't want to eat alone at that moment

Send me an email (qwmo@hotmail.com) if you want my cell number, to make sure you won't harass the wrong table there. :-)

Friday night Dinner (1/16/09, 7:45pm)

Postby lifetraveler » Thu, 15 Jan 2009 11:58 am

Vegetarian again. :x

Place: Annalakshmi in Chinatown
Time: 7:45pm (Please do feel free to be late, or not show up at all even you response with "yes" . it is not a business meeting, so don't feel committed in any way.)

Again, show up please if you don't want to eat alone. Send me an email (qwmo@hotmail.com) if you want the phone # to contact

Quote from "Renewed":

Annalakshmi - I've been there, excellent food and great concept. You can eat as much as you want and pay as much as you want (money goes for charity). http://www.annalakshmi.com.sg/ (we can go to the one in China Town).

We can pick a party to crash afterward. (Wala Wala, right?)

Same boat

Postby Aspie » Sat, 17 Jan 2009 12:10 am

I'm from Sydney, been in Singapore for 2 weeks and am often dining/exploring Singapore by myself. I'd love to join someone for dinner, and perhaps a beer or dozen afterwards. Let me know ;-)

Welcome, Aspie. Well, I am here only two weeks too. Not even qualified to say welcome, yet. eating alone every night is tough. I hear you. Will let you know next dinner activity. you can also look around this forum. Plenty of beer activity going on in this city. I joined one last night in Holland village Wala Wala. Fun people and decent beer. Really enjoyed it.

Looks like there is some happening over here?

I used to explore around for food with some friends many years back, now I am also dinning alone most of the time, due to odd working hours. I would like to join in if I can go off early enough to catch you guys "dinning session".

lifetraveler - I have PM you my contact.

Would love to join you guys.
Open for pretty much anythiing (including frog(toad) porridge)
Though I do have a preference for healthier/less oily food.

PM me or drop me an email at awesomearpit at gmail

[Also as someone who ate meat maybe twice a month for the first 17 years of his life, I love the fact that eating vegetarian food can be an adventure for someone ;) ]

Hi, Dounut. There is no lack of people working in odd hours. So, don't worry. Just try to post/pm sth when you are hungry at your odd hour.

I will email you when next dinning session happens. Don't know when or where. But one thing for sure:

IT WON'T BE VEGE!! :x

Sounds good.

BTW, it is not about eating vege. that is manageable. But, eat vege ONLY, in a whole meal......

Erm. SMS me if possible, especially if is last min, cos I can't access to email in office.

Vege is still managable for me, but not spicy chilli. Frogs, escargos, rabbits, snakes, etc are fine. :P
