Pediatric Endocrinologist

Post by Idoffing » Mon, 05 Jan 2009 11:22 am

We are relocating to Singapore this Spring from the US. I am in need of a pediatric endocrinologist for my 2 yr old daughter. I am not sure of how the healthcare system in Singapore compares to the US. Any advice on how to find a good doctor is appreciated. Also, I would like to know what type of healthcare system is in Singapore ie...PPO, HMO, socialist, or other.

Thanks in advance. I did not see a medical forum, so I hope this is ok to post here.

Not sure if my Endo also treats kids - But he is very good, up to date and a great manner - western educated local guy but in the USA, I had one of the best at Stanford Palo Alto and I would rank this guy with the best - PM me if interested and I will give you the contact details - he is at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

We are also looking for a pediatric endorinologist in Singapore / Kuala Lumpur as we are just moving from New Jersey. Our 13 year old may need to undergo some tests.

We got the name of a Dr Kenneth Lyen -- is the same person you were speaking about in Jan?

Thanks
AC
