Bike (pushbike) recommendation?

Post by greta3913 » Sat, 03 Jan 2009 10:37 pm

Hi,

I am interested in getting a mountain/ pushbike and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good bike shop. Do you need to go to a specialist shop or are the bikes in Carrefour etc just as good?

Would be grateful for any tips, etc. Thanks very much in advance! :D

Don't choose carrefour if you are a serious biker. those neighbourhood bicycle shops are good enough as they provide servicing.

Would agree with the above poster. Use your neighbourhood mom & pop shop who sell made in Taiwan Bikes. These are inexpensive and therefore disposable when you leave. Of course if you are brand conscious or looking for high-end (read lightweight and brand equipped) you can go to places like Trek.

Should be able to answer any biking question you may have.

I'm still using my 11 years old Iron Horse!
