Football

Post by whiterr » Mon, 12 Jan 2009 4:10 pm

I am very happy to play on a sunday, Bishan sounds fine and early evening would be good. Sounds like we need somebody to grab the 'balls' by the horn and organise it - I am more than happy - if people want to liaise with me I can be contacted via email on [email protected] or on 97127950. Unless somebody else wants to do it?

If everybody who wants to play sends me an email I can then set up a distribution list from there and then email everybody at the same time instead of people replying separately on here! I have some bibs so that's all good. Pop-up goals would be ideal but I guess we can work on this! if not can use jumpers/cones for the time being.

whoa!
thats what I get for not ticking 'notify me'.

Im a complete newbie .. so skill level =0.

I was thinking more along the lines of playing after work.. though we can start off by playing on sunday i guess. My primary motivations are to get some excercise, have fun and meet new people.

I live and work in the cbd area (dhoby ghaut\clarke quay) so for weekdays I'm looking for people around there. Weekends is more flexible.

good to see this amount of interest ... Do count me in when something is finalized :)

Sorted it Out!

Post by whiterr » Wed, 14 Jan 2009 10:07 pm

Right - we are meeting in Bishan on sunday at 5pm, so far have 7 people so let this forum or me know via email if you're coming along. I reckon we should be able to get 10 at least. I have a ball and bibs so if anybody has any good ideas for goal posts then would be useful?!

Is there a good place in Bishan to meet?

After game report, turn up yesterday was better than expected, 70%, you people who said you'd be there and did'nt show up, you know who you are, it takes a lil more commitment to walk the talk, or rather typing in forums.
anyway, next week's gaurenteed a game, speculating 12-15 people turn out at least.. thats after possibilities with ppl not turning up, so I'd be looking forward to next week's great game! Those of you who were not free, or waiting for this to get rolling, feel free to join!!!

on those that turned up, what was the average age? I'm used to a game of soccer with a beer afterwards and the beer has significantly more importance than the soccer :)
