I need some advice for a friend who has got in a mess outside Singapore and any potential pit falls with bringing a car back into Singapore. It is a 2005 registered car with Singapore plates but it has been out of the country at least 18 months.
To continue using the car in a neighbouring country it has to be shown that taxes etc are up to date and nothing is outstanding in country of origin. This will enable a 1 year use permit to be re-issued (at present expired).
Is this procedure of re-entering and taxing in Singapore fairly straight forward for a non Singaporean expat or are there a few things to watch for?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
