hey guys, jst remember on the grooming part

make sure u guys look when u doll urself up.. when u look in the mirror u look like a cabin crew.. they call it the crew look..

as in u can imagine urself as a cabin crew..

do not over do ur grooming.. but don;t under do it either.

for the gals.. pull ur hair back and do it up into a bun.. dun have fringe or bangs.. they will ask u to put it all up..

fringe to the side n clipped is fine..

for guys.. don;t spike up ur hair.. make it decent and very neat!

good luck

I've registered my application on Qatar recruitment website. Do I need to wait for their respond or can I just go for the open day on the 17? Then again, I might not be able to reach 212cms! Haha..

stewardwannabe wrote:hey, jst wanna share the interview process with Qatar Airways on the 6th dec @the KL recruitment drive.

1st Day - we were seated down n given a presentation and a video to watch and it was submission of individual resume- while submitting the resume we were asked a few simple question ( answer with a smile)..lol.. and we were then sent home to wait for the call. I received my call at abt 5.20 pm to go for the afternoon session ( 2.30 to 5.30 pm the following day)

2nd Day - there were abt almost 40 of us for the afternoon session, then we were asked to sit for an english test as well.. and an arm reach test is also conducted while the test is going on. ( Make sure u listen out for ur name and number carefully - and don;t rush towards the interviewer, jst walk calmly and confidently- cos they are watching u as u walk and judging from there , hence try to reach as high as possible , girls are allowed to tip toe with the heels on ( will be asked to remove shoes if the heels are to high) and guys mst have their feet on the ground with shoes on.

After the english test, we had abt 15 mins break and then through to a group interview.. it was abt 20 to a group and were given 2 questions.. 1) senario based 2) a personality question , we were given 12 mins to come out with an answer but we need not present it to the group or the interviewers.. while the discussion is goin on, the interviewers are walking ard observing us. After the discussion was completed, we were asked to wait outside for abt 20 mins.. then called in the room again, they only selected 14 of us i think for the next round.

We were then asked to leave the room , say our goodbyes.. and come back in the room again after 5 mins... then continued on with another group discussion 2 senario based question were posted to us.. 12 mins to discuss.. after that we jst casually present our answers to the group and interviewers, then we were asked to leave the room for abt 15 mins.

After that they called us in , and read out our names n numbers.. suprisingly all 14 o us got thru.. so no one was eliminated.. and we stayed on for a briefing for the final interview.

3rd day - final interview.. its a 2 on 1 interview mine took abt 30 mins... and basically questions based on ur application form and about u.. jst be urself and be natural... and we were told to wait for an email regarding our results in 3 weeks time!!!
Oh... can tip toe with heels on? Regret didn't went to try for it, tot I can't reach 212cm for sure without heels. LOL!! Next year will try agn xD

Post by mademoiselle » Mon, 19 Jan 2009 2:49 pm

Was the recruitment on 17th january only invited applications through email?

Anyone got through?

I did my online application on the 14th I guess, but did not receive any reply. Hence, I did not go the saturday. :-|

hiii to girls aiming for qatar airways career

Post by inuya » Sun, 22 Feb 2009 11:50 am

hii girls....Finally i've managed to find a forum which shares similar aspirations like mine. I praise GOD for this :) i've been planning to apply for the cabin crew position for the past few months in qatar airways but im abit hesitant at the moment cos i missed the open day for sydney in Jan 2009. And furthermore, i seriously feel that i still need to know a lot of essential information before i can proceed with the application. Previously im from spore but currently a student in sydney and yeah student life is so tough in here:( I wld be truly grateful if i can learn from this forum regarding the necessary prerequisites and preparations needed to have a better stand in getting shortlisted for the interview. I also came across online cabin crew ticket diploma course--- was wondering if its beneficial??

Ps: thank you all so much for this forum.....i feel finally like im not alone in this :)

Qatar Cabin Crew

Post by Khalid » Fri, 27 Feb 2009 1:37 pm

Hi Guys !
I am pretty new to this forum.
I have been reading quite a number of interesting entries about life as a cabin crew with Qatar Airways.
I am rather interested in being a cabin crew with Qatar or Eitihad or Emirates.
I am a 36 year old male Singaporean.
Could you guys advise if this is like possible.
Am I too old to apply.

Thanks for your advice.
