After PR Gets Approved

Post by farhan77 » Mon, 29 Dec 2008 8:37 am

Hi all,

I plan to apply PR including my wife and son who are in DP. I knew that PR processing time will be maximum 3 months. After my PR gets approved, do I need my wife and son personally to collect their PR ICs?

Because for some reason they might need to go back to home country within 3 months (before I knew the PR result) and will return to Singapore after 3 to 4 months time.

Please suggest me, what can i do in this case.

Thanks in advance.

They have to be there to complete the PR process. If you get approved PR the letter will say you have to complete the process within 2 months. You can request an extension from the ICA but you'll need a good valid reason like I had. As they already have DP, it wouldn't surprise me if the ICA question why the delay.
